BellDale Chess was founded to bring regular USCF-rated tournaments to players in Whatcom County and the surrounding region, with events that are competitive, welcoming and close to home.
About BellDale Chess
Northwest Washington has plenty of chess players, but rated over-the-board events nearby can be hard to find. BellDale Chess exists to change that by organizing USCF-rated tournaments that players of every level can get to, enjoy and come back to.
We care about good chess and good company: fair pairings, clear rules and sportsmanship, from handshakes after the game to helping clean up afterwards.
